# Categories

> Organize and control how advertisements are distributed across channels.

### Creating a Category

To create a new category:

* Click **New Category**
* Enter a category name
* Configure rotation settings
* Click **Save**

Once created, the category can be assigned to both ads and channels.

**Rotation Mode**

By default, ads within a category are posted in a **round-robin rotation**, meaning each ad is sent one after another in sequence.

You can optionally enable:

* **Random Ad Pick**: The system randomly selects an ad from the category each time it posts.

This is useful for:

* Unpredictable ad rotation
* A/B-style variation testing
* Reducing repetitive posting patterns

### How Categories Work

Categories connect Ads and Channels together.

When an ad and a channel share the same category, the bot is allowed to post that ad in that channel.

**Example:**

* A **Gaming** ad will only be sent to channels assigned the **Gaming** category.
* A **Trading** ad will only be posted in **Trading** channels.

This system allows you to:

* Target different audiences with different content
* Separate advertising campaigns
* Control where ads are distributed more precisely
* Prevent irrelevant ads from being posted in unrelated channels

### Managing Categories

On the Categories page, you can:

* Create unlimited categories
* Edit existing categories
* Change rotation settings
* Delete categories at any time

  Deleting a category removes its connection between ads and channels. Make sure to reassign affected ads and channels if needed.
